Seems the original thread has been closed, only to be expected I suppose. I did request my own post to be deleted but did not happen. However I will own up once again to my error regarding Mr Safa. I was informed by someone I knew and with an interest in this builders work so took the ifo on trust. I apologise for placing that comment regarding Mr Safa and to the forum for stopping the impetous of this topic. I am sure Mr Safa knows from past experience how we all feel and that we will not give up to get justice for all of us foreigners in TRNC, we have had enough of being treated like third class citezens. We are not the ones giving the country a bad name!! However making such statements regarding individuals is inaprropriate.

David please do not go. You contribute so much to Cyprus 44 and I know you work tirelessly to help the victims of injustice. You were instrumental in ensuring we had a massive turnout yesterday and for that I am truly thankful. You made a mistake, you have apologised. To be honest it could have been rectified by a moderator edited the thread to remove the name (which is what I asked for). Please reconsider your decision. Jo PS I would just like to ask everybody on Cyprus 44 to please be 100% sure of facts before posting personal information as it can cause unnecessary grief.

david you gather the support of all who supported yesterday and for geoff and mary, you had mistaken id so what anybody else could have done the same. you have bravely made a public apology. the mods are not on 24/7 and i do not think they communicate with each other either as to who is manning the board. Your cause to the injustice here knows no bounds and us lay people will miss your account of it. 44 can be a good medium but we all know all take the knocks from time ti time, but together we stand and together we fall. david reconsider. take time to reflect. you did nothing wrong only try to report an emotive situation which you were misinformed. only thursday my customers told me the deal had been done with the bank but it was a lt less money, that they had bought for 400,000 .as a victim like you and several others living here david fight the cause and stay/ xx

Cyprusishome. do not resign because this board was not officiated properly. Many threads, posts are pulled quick enough when it does not suit them. You made a genuine mistake in the ' public' interest. You showed great forcefulness in the auction and other various programmes. Do not let the failings of the board moderators drive you out. If they cannot communicate or decide who is to do what, they need to get sorted, not you to leave

At least admin gave a reason this time. Where were the usual ' close the thread admins' or was this too strong a topic for them to get involved in. Simbas - at least you had the guts to take the initiative and fair dos to you. Notice no other admin support here. Too busy rigging up for Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cyprusishome Dont resign. A mistake was made which was corrected. We need people on this site to say whats what. At least you have presuaded us that the 'I'm all right Jack ' route ,doesnt work, and might come back to haunt us. Like they say, If you have never made a mistake in your life then you have never done anything worthwile in that life.

Msg 13 - Simbas. Never realised posts were edited. Would be helpful if there was a way that ' normal people ' knew this had happened on a post. Does this mean we only get the 'official' admins version. Sorry if this seems offensive - not meant to be - just looking for an answer. Notice none of the usual 'hardline admins with the quick to close pens ' have appeared. David - who ever you are. Dont let the grind you down and out *** Ps post edited to remove offensive expletive, *** Simbas

Hi Scoty , usually a mod would edit a post , saying what they had edited and why at the bottom of the post . Just like i did to your msg 15 . But maybe we should actually post a message to inform people that a post has been edited , do you think that would be helpful ? Take care , Simbas

Hi Simbas - Noticed the edit on my post but think as you say it would be more than helpful - also when posts get deleted -ie. post 44 deleted and a reason. None of this - admin thinks so!!!! I woulod delete 90% of of the 'posts' here but do not have authority like certain male members - choice of words were meant!!!!!!

Scoty For yours and everyone else's information, I have been out all day and have only just caught up with my e-mails from members that have requested messages to be removed. I, the same as all other 'forum admins' do the job on a part time basis and is carried out around our personal lives. To blame 'forum admins' for the problems on that particular thread is wrong. I f members were sensible about the way they posted then there would be no need for us to moderate. Rant over. AJ

Oh and I left my 'station' for 48 hours 4th/5th to go to a wedding on the 'darkside' and nobody missed me, although I missed the TRNC. 3rd rate hotel, €130 for one nights B&B extra charges for internet access (and other services that you would normally get free in any other country) so I did not bother logging on to the board. But I am back with a vengeance.

| "I would like to put the record straight. It has been posted on Cyprus 44 that Mr. Ali Safa bid at the auction on the Kulaksiz 5’s properties. This is entirely false. Mr. Ali Safa has been a good friend to the Kulaksiz 5 and through his media group gave us publicity mentioning Akfinans by name even though being threatened with legal action by the Bank. Such false allegations are not helpful and are very offensive to Mr Safa. Mr. Safa, I hope you will not hold us resonsible for the foolishness of the person who posted this entirely unfounded information. The only other potential bid was by Gultekin Ben of Imperial Construction which he explained to me was made with the intention of helping the Kulaksiz 5. If you doubt I am in a position to know this then buy Fridays edition of Cyprus Star and you will see me getting up close and personal with Mr. Ben to whom I apologise for my behaviour." | Didn't you give him a coupla little 'love slaps', first, before you kissed him on both cheeks? Put it down to 'tough love'! I believe I can say on behalf of everyone who knows you [I haven't had the pleasure!] that you are one gutsy lady and without your steady input, on this forum and NCFP, we would have remained relatively ignorant of this outrageous and clearly government condoned scam that has been allowed to be perpetrated on all you good people at Kulaksiz 5. |
