I posted a message recently asking where I could buy a set of drainage rods. Having failed, I called in Ali, a plumber in Essentepe to unblock my drain. Well would you believe it, he sells sets of drainage rods. They are of a professional quality in their own hard cylindrical carrying case. The set comprises 10 rods x 3ft, three screw on heads, including the worm screw. He also sells additional extension rods if you should need them. He is charging 90 tl, which I don't think is bad and once you have them, you don't have to worry about blocked drains anymore. I have already bought a set. I'm not on commision by the way. Presumably, with the right brush attachment, these would be ok for sweeping the chimney as well?

Yes you can get an attachment to sweep chimneys, but you would have to go to B&Q or similar to get the attachment.
