Has anyone does this and is it better than flying them out freight? My dogs are 13 years old so naturally I am worried! Any advice much appreciated.

If you make regular stops, i can't imagine a more fun way to travel with your dog...and definitely much more safer than flying, she/he may get really freaked out....

I'd love to drive across the globe with my dogs in the back....how fun....!

Probably better to drive them than to fly them, especially at that age. Remember though, there will be a quarantine period upon arrival which again may be stressful for them.

If yo do a search on here you will find this has been discussed recently. Currently the quarantine is generally home quarantine nowadays.

Hi we have just drove here by car, it is much better for the dog than flying, our dog did not have to go into quarantine at all, they said she had to stay at home around our own garden for three weeks and then go back for the paperwork, she was fine, I would not do it though when it becomes really hot in July and August though, if you need any help just ask, we had help on this forum from other friends which made the trip a little easier!
