Just seen the news about Lord Myner who has had the gumption to be honest and criticise the LAST Governments excessive spending and waste.

Yet he was a diehard Gordy Broon ally!!!

At least one has admitted that he cannot live with himself after being a senior member of Browns Labour Government.

How does he suggest that we "the suckers" pay back the debts that they left. Ah! I see....head for the hills like his former friend BREWN.

Ed Balls said yesterday Brown had not listened to people about immigration and when he called the lady a bigot it proved it, he is trying to win people over as he is up for Labour leader.

Sour Grapes Tiggy!!

Just the truth coming out MORE and MORE!!

Even today , a labour Leadership Candidate has asked for the dropping of the required 33 votes that are needed before they can stand for leader.

They still believe that they can change things at a whim!!

Also Diane Abbotts supporters are asking to be 'given' votes from other candidates- because she is a woman!!

Just because Blair had his babes, Labour seem to be fixated that equality is not quality but quantiy.

By the way Tiggy I am not a Tory, but a voting Nationalist who has an SNP MP!!

But has seen the damage done to the UK and almost every sphere of life by the last administration.

Now I want it to be public about what a bumch of a ,Tonys Cronies, and Browns Buffoons who have ruined what was handed over to them and enjoy a debate not just some bitter comment by someone who cannot see the bigger picture!

From the language in your last 2 lines ,it would appear you are the bitter one.

Amazing that so many right wingers are going bananas over the labour leadership contest.

Labour have lost the election ,move on and start looking at what your own lot are doing now and in the future.

Its not Labour that are a threat to the enforcing of right wing policies, but the centre and left of centre Lib Dems in the coalition, who will curtail the excesses of the right. These Libdems will be your problem ,not labour.so you should concentrate on attacking them and leave Labour to look after itself.

As for somebody from Scotland talking about the damage Labour have done to Scotland, all I can say is ,you must be very young,or have spent your life in a sheltered backwater that had no connection to industry. In the first 2 years of Thatcherism ,the North lost one fifth of its workforce.

I come from Dundee and the labour lies of 1975/6 still ring true, when they gave all the wonderful promises about the Shipbuilding Industry, they nationalised that and guess what....... closed the yards on the Tay.

And you blame Thatcherism, everyone is enttled to their own opinion.

I am not bitter but am glad to see Politics now hopefully being run by the actual Politicians and not all the UNELECTED SPIN DOCTORS who had far too much influence and became too big for their own boots!

From the History of Dundee.

'Employment in Dundee changed dramatically during the 1980s with the loss of nearly 10,000 manufacturing jobs due to closure of the shipyards, cessation of carpet manufacturing and the disappearance of the jute trade.'

Who was in power in the 80's?

Where do get the info that only Labour emplyoys spin doctors. Do you know who Andy Coulson is? He is hated by more than a few Conservatives because of his influence and because he is unelected.

Anyway thats in the past.My original point holds true. Stop spending time on what labour does, labour is no longer in power. Your true enemy will be the centre left LibDems who, until they are got rid of, will prevent ultra right wing policies being enforced.Tough, but its them that you should be cursing ,not labour

As for a new type of politician ,,dont kid yourself. 70% of the benifit cheats were re-elected.Barely 3 weeks and already we have a 'new style' politician apoligizing for stealing £40k.

Girne,

I would like to know where you got your wonderful expose about Dundee but its wrong!

The Jute was finished in mid to late 60s, I remember walking past ancient decrepid redundant Jute Mills going to Tannadice when I was 12/13

The Shipyards were closed in 1976 as I was leaving school and the yards were not taking on any apprentices due to the forecasted closures.

I remember 1976 very well as you see I was aiming to be an apprentice Welder at the Robb Caledon Yard, and then I joined the Army that September at 16.

Does it not strike anyone that with 2 Constituencies why only one is Labour in Scotland, Labour lost Dundee East in 1979, ok might have regained for a short while as I was away and did not bother but recently its always been SNP

ang1706 - you need to go and get the medical attention which will probably not be available when this lot have finished.

Message11 - politician gets rapped knuckles - benefit fraudster gets 18 months! Similar amount - different background.

We need , all of us, to realise that the majority of politicians are in it for their benefit - not ours - but all we ever do is bicker among ourselves while they cream it off the top.

Last word - anyone who claims Thatcher was good for the country has to be either very rich or deranged.

Dear LittleJohn

re msg 14

I am neither rich and not 'deranged'.. Mrs T made some Brits proud of their nation, again - she CERTAINLY improved the UK's standing overseas, and was probably the first person to realise that we could do biz with 'Gorby' - thus bringing about an end to the cold war...

Lot's of folk became members of the property owning club, and owe a lot to Mrs T

It was certainly time for her to go, when she had to stand down...

I suppose you wanted another five years of a weak Labour govt - in 1979 ? ....

Hint: if you going to make something your 'last word'... do try and make it something less 'derisible' :D

Message 14 haha your wonderful party has a really great record of managing the Medical Services- DID NOT SEE them doing anything about Stafford Health Trust!!!

As for your conceited, pompous 'LAST WORD'- how are you able to afford to retire now- bet you that your early retirement is down to Maggie T !!!

Wether it be from sale of Council House or had a good job either way you are nothing but a bitter hypocrite who is probably -once Labour always Labour but Im happy when the goings good, my political principles wont stand in the way!!

ang message 12

It was not a wonderful expose of mine.I merely read it.

Dundee was closed in 1981, Leith in 1983.And it was not decided to close the yards till late 79.

They were closed as there was too much shipbuilding capacity.

If Labour supposedly closing the Robb Caledon Yards made you a right winger, what was your reaction when the Tory Gov closed the clyde yards bar two.

If they were so bad why did the Labour vote go up in Scotland in many places?

I remember the terrible years under Thatcher when we had over 30% unemployment

in my own area. You could not tell your children to get a good education because they

knew that there were no jobs. As a widowed mother of 4 I will never forget the pain of

those years. No job for me either, though I was the bread winner - a newly qualified mature

teacher.
