At the the request of about 120 Dutch holidaymakers in TRNC (mainly men) I'm looking for a place where they can watch the matches of the WC Football 2010. Food and drinks should be available (draught beer no conditio sine qua non). Decent British football fans would be welcome, but subject to approval. I'm interested in reactions here. Thank you.

Take them to Guido's.

There they can enjoy gourmet food whilst seeping Cinzano and watching Italian team winning WC!

RE msg 1: Problem solved, thank you TSH! At least someone who understands how to make money.

RE msg 2: Good suggestion, newscoop. But as you could have read: they are in TRNC. Reading and writing ain't easy, eh?

RE msg 3: Yes, Clarissa2, nice etc.

RE msg 4: Grey, your thoughts are as deep as a shallow lake. As usual. Thank you.

RE msg 6: Not yet written. Never mind, the message won't be answered. Bye.

Hans;

message two was serious, you are well aware what happens when the lager flows at England games in some hostelries.

Add 120 Cloggies into the mix and life could get somewhat interesting.

Hans, is lovely that you have come on C44 again to ask the question, and I, for, one miss your imput. I am absolutely amazed that when many bars/restaurants are struggling to continue, they are not falling over themselves to accommodate 120 people. I know it is a large number, but there must be quite a few places that would welcome a captive clientele to swell their coffers. Hope you find somewhere suitable.

I think it would be cool if there was a specific bar that was designated for (though by all means not restricted to) fans of the 31 countries in the WC who aren't England. I have nothing against the English football team but it might be nice to have a place for fans of other nationalities. Any bars want to cater to that?

Hans,

Why not split them up into groups and share them with the many bars in NC it would be nice to have other nationalities to watch the games with and hear unbiased opinions.

Msg 2 & 10

What utter tosh.

Firstly, this is the TRNC - not Stratford - and the level of manners and behaviour is somewhat higher. In six years of running a sports bar the only jingoistic incident I've witnessed involved an inebriated Welshman - and that was out of character as well.

Secondly, the chances of more than twenty Englishman watching Netherlands matches when England aren't playing is minimal. If those twenty aren't already cowed by the 6-fold presence of your "cloggies" I refer to my first point: that is that the HUGE majority of people in the TRNC - ex-pat English included - are affable, polite and actually extremely fun.

Enjoy yourselves wherever Hans, but don't be put off by silly speculation - especially when you yourself are so well-acquainted with the rather more palatable realities on the ground .

Don't worry, ajaney, he'll be back on here when the dutch visitors go home, or run out of money, whichever comes first.

We idiot Brit expats' wallets will still be here, open.

Before you disciples castigate me, wait a while and see, and that includes his tame mod.

RE msg 16, the Nurse: (...) Why not split them up into groups and share them with the many bars in NC (...)

=> Chris, only this Monday (The Netherlands-Denmark) was a problem. The 200 strong group will have to board busses to Ercan right after the last minute of the match. The best solution seems to be to keep them in their respective hotels and make them hurry to the airport (indeed, right after Holland has won...).

Then why do you insult us all, from a safe distance?

hope you've ripped off you country(wo)men enough to allow you to move from this Island, that will be a richer place for your absence.

I didn't think that even you would stoop so low as to use Johnny Lees efforts re. "an arm for Ismail" to line your deep pockets.

Before anyone jumps on his bandwagon, log on to DC's "helpful" website, an advert for his tat with Ismail in the middle.

In the words from the film "Grease" How low can you go, how LOW can YOU go, now can you hear that baby"

RE msg 22, minertor: No need to defend myself with details - Johnny Lee (Elvis) knows better. But indeed, it's people like you who made me withdraw from any public activity in the community.

P.S. You really need some medical attention for your mental problems.

P.P.S. Once more you derailed a thread with your sick posts. Happy?

msg 24. No, you derailed the forum with your moneygrubbing self serving scams.

If you wish to prove me wrong, answer the questions I asked.

How could any normal person hijack a thread raising money for an invalid. Look at your post, your plea is in the middle of one of your tat adverts. If Johnny Lee sanctions your "help" then any respect I had for him is waning.

I am in UK now but if you wish to meet me to discuss our differences, mano y mano, let me know, and you can bring your tame mod with you, if he can extricate himself from behind the glass.

Tony

ps if you wish to be SUPported by your mod, I will not be alone, but I will be if you are, tosser.

Richard, you Know Hans (DC) as well as I do, mebbe better. The guy is an intellectual hero but a physical coward. At least he understands that he is not in my league intellectually, or physically, if it comes to that.

Answer the questions Hans, or forever look the coward that you undoubtly are.
