Hi Albert, if you want to learn playing guitar , I can recommend you my friend, Victor. 0542 88 68 331. He is a professional musician. I think you will find a lot of things in common , not only interest in guitar.

ediablo: The best way to teach anybody to play guitar is to, firstly, ask them what their *favourite song(s) are. Then they can learn three basic chords, say A,D & E and, hopefully, can sing along to the song of their choice. Any budding guitarist needs to have *INCENTIVE - only then will he/she be keen enough to want to continue, and for 30 TL per hour, most people would want to come away with, at least, some idea as to how to play a song of their choice, even though they realise their technique needs plenty of practice. Learning chords, or chord progressions, unless specific to a particicular song, or instrumental piece, is totally aimless and thoroughly boring, and any student will soon lose interest. Learning to play chords from a book on 'How To Learn Guitar' has probably caused more people to give up than such a book has achieved success. Unless you adopt this method, I fear that your success as a teacher will be rather limited - but good luck, anyway!

Would be interested in getting together with others who play guitar or any other musical instrument for a sing around. I used to belong to an group of people, of various talents, who met one night a week for a ' sing around ' and covered all types of music/songs with or with out an instrument. For beginners this was an easy way to learn as it was very informal. As we all lived in the Nottingham area we took turns at various villages each week. Various bars/resturants could be used here. If there is any interest let me know via this page.

Why not pop up to Hoots Bar in Ilgaz on a Tuesday evening for our open music night, all styles of playing, guitar - folk, rock, blues, country, bluegrass Irish, Violin - Gypsy, classical, country, Banjo - classical, blues, ragtime, country, bluegrass Irish. Mandolin - traditional, country, bluegrass. Keyboard - all styles of accompaniment, vocals, Irish whistle etc. This is all live music, definitely no backing tapes or Karaoke. This is a fun night and a good opportunity for musicians to meet up. Mike (banjo)

Barry Snakes never had any music lessons but he loved the Beatles and that gave him the incentive to sell his bugle he played at Boys Brigade and with a bit more money he bought his first guitar!! He never looked back!!
