Hi Markyboy,

You normally need to become a member by paying at least one month's fee in advance to use gymnasiums however I believe most hotels allow you to go whenever you like. I used to go to the Colony about 6 years ago where it was about $10 a day so signing up to a gym for a month would probably cost you a lot less.

Thanks Dav88, do you know if there are any in the Girne area who will allow me to join for a month at a time?

I'm only on the island 4 weeks at a time for 3 times a year so don't really need an annual membership.

Hi I go to Pumps, which is just on the corner by the Bellapais traffic lights. You can get daily, weekly, or monthly there. Speak to Tarik he is very helpful and I am sure would sort something out for you.

There's a good gym on Patara in Girne, fully equipped, pop in and see the manager.

Hi freespirit, what are the charges, do you know?

I'll be staying in Buffavento and as far as I know, this one sounds the closet.

Thanks

Hi Markyboy,

I go to the one by Back in Time down by Kasgar Court which is quite good. You can pay for a month then renew if you like it which is what I've done.

If you are staying in buffavento then the malpas hotel gym is without a doubt the closest, and it is nicely equipped
