There's a shop along the main road opposite aturturk stadium, called Index, its not like Index catologue shop, its more like Ikea, they sell all those style shelves and free standing units at reasonable prices. Good Luck finding what you want.

Scooby, I think they probably do but I was under the impression furniture was not allowed across the boarder?

Also I'd rather pay a local tradesman to make some bespoke shelves than bother with the hassle of Ikea.



Was thinking if I gave a local the picture they may make them for me...

we use a joinery shop called vahit rose. it is on the main road into girne near the sign for the mercure. if you print the picture and take it down he will make anything. very reasonable and good workmanship.

Have you had a look at Burhans on the industrial estate in nicosia near the prison, he is not cheap but makes some amazing and original stuff and can design to order, check it out, its all very inspiring

Why don't you go to talk to 'Ronnies Furniture' - it's amazing what they can and have made for hundreds of expats who have brought 'Ideal Home' magazines in [for instance] and said: 'Can you copy this?'



Anything from an elaborate and complete bar to the type of shelving you'r probably looking for - they'll make and fit it for you.



Just 'Google' them and you'll see!

I agree with Stephen and lilli vahit will copy any design for you and his workmanship is spot on also Ebru will do you a good job. Why bother with flat pack when you can get quality furniture made here.

They actually have the exact if not similar shelves in Index in Lefkosa....they were around about 350TL
