Two lovely abandoned dogs, one 6-month old puppy “Bobbie”, a German Shepherd cross, and the other a 4-year old Cyprus Poodle, “Ollie”, need a loving home. Bobbie was abandoned as a young puppy, Ollie was abandoned by a British expat who left the dog with a dogsitter for a “holiday” and never came back! We have looked after them both and given them the run of our garden, but are now leaving NC. They have been well trained, vetted and socialised during their time with us, please if you are interested, get in touch. Thank you.

oh sydney this is so sad, yet more victims. If only these people knew what it does to these poor dogs, to be taken off the street and found what they hope is lasting love. you are acting in a responsible manner, and have ben so kind. Sydney post photos I found that all the dogs i had dumped on me photos worked best. I wish you all the best i know how hard it is as i still have 2 to rehome xxxxxxxxx

Hi Liz, I do hope, yours and mine, find loving homes soon. I know it will be very hard to find homes for them. I have put some posters up, but not many. I am not sure how to post photos on here. If you are aware of it, please let me know.

Thank you

hi Liz, Thank you for your help. I have emailed Keith and I hope he will oblige.

So far, no luck and I am hoping someone will give them home as they are lovely dogs. Ollie is the sweetest of all dogs, alert when someone arrives at the gate, but very friendly once he meets them, always wanting a hug. Bobbie is sweet and naughty, very attached to Ollie now. We trained them very well and hope they will find loving and caring new owners, fingers crossed

Ollie is having hair cut today evening and preparing himself for summer. I hope someone will adopt our babies as we will be leaving on 18th July. I have put up posters and given some to my friends. All I can do is hope and pray :(

Good news,

Someone adopted Bobbie and soon he will be moving in with them. I am very happy for him. I will miss him a lot though :( He is lucky as he found a nice family and their house has a garden. I only hope they will look after him very well as he is such a sweety.

Now it is Ollie's turn. He looks lovely now with a smart haircut. Please someone adopt him

I think maybe you should put on her a little t'shirt and write on it, something about looking for a home, and go to the Perova fun day on either friday or saturday...or both....you never know, someone may take a shine to her...

hi liz,

I am so happy to hear Lulu has found a lovely home As you know through this thread, nannab has kindly offered to take Ollie and try him for the weekend as she wants to see how he will get along with her dog. I hope all goes well, fingers crossed.

Bobbie is still with me and I am not very positive about the family who want him, nothing has gone forward as of the last conversation! If someone else wants him, please have a look at his photo on this thread.

Thank you for the kind offer, Liz. I hope it dosen't come to that and they both find a lovely homes.

Hi everyone,

Good News in the end:

Both Ollie and Bobbie have now been rehomed, so a huge thanks to everyone who offered their help or support.

And also a VERY special thanks to:

- Nannab for adopting Ollie

- Liz for agreeing to help out with "respite care" if all else failed ...

This shows that there are some wonderful and caring people in the North, and is greatly appreciated - here's to happy, healthy lives for the 2 dogs in their new homes.

Best wishes to all,

Sydney

Hello All,

With regret I inform you all that Bobby was dumped at my gate on Saturday afternoon. This has upset me a lot as these people who adopted him didn't have the common decency to inform me especially when they knew very well of my travel plans the next day.

Reason: The people who adopted him took him to Firdez. She said he might need an operation for hip displacement and they washed their hands off him. Bobby always walked funny, but Pertev kept saying there is nothing wrong with him. We believed him unfortunately.

Conclusion: Bobby's new owners were supposed to wait to hear from Firdez and get back to me. But instead, they did a dirty on me. I called Firdez and she said Bobby does not need operation. He needs to go on medication for his condition and hope his situation gets better. These people didn't call Firdez and just decided to dump him at my gate :(

KAR, out of kindess have adopted him. Please someone adopt him and give him a home as he is lovely dog.

They have done Bobby a favour - clearly they are NOT dog lovers, one wonders why they took him in the first place - must have had their own reasons, those reasons NOT being unconditional love, wanting a faithful companion, and joy in their lives. Now the wrong owners are out the way - that leaves room for the right ones to come along - hopefully very soon........

Thank you for your kind words, Ms Garnet. I am pleased in a way Bobby ia away from those ignorant people. They are a young Pakistani couple. He works in one restaurant and his wife needed company day time. I got to know them through an English lady who I thought I knew very well. She has two dogs and is an animal lover. She was the one who encouraged them and came along to adopt. I was pretty disappointed when she kept quiet :(

And I found out they already had a dog which was kept from me! They just in a very cruel way said they will not bear the costs, look after or try to rehome him. I was very hurt and still hurting. I guess they just wanted a nice piece of furniture and he didn't fit in with the room. The guy is supposedly adopted son of this English lady. I wanted to name and shame them, but thought they will pay one day. Please if you know anyone matching this description trying to adopt a dog, warn them not to let them adopt any dog!

Bobby doesn't deserve this kind of people..

Hi Liz, Thank you for all your support. I know you would have looked after Bobby and found him a loving home. Please put in a word to your friends about him. When I saw him at the gate, I was heart broken and was worried to death. He was so excited to see us and full of life. Those few hours with him made us very happy. I miss him :(

Please someone adopt him.

Thank you Keith for bringing the photo link up, very kind of you.
