The Turkish Acrobat Jets (The Turkish Stars) will start a display over the Kyrenia harbour at 1700 hours, if you have not arranged to go on a boat trip, may I suggest either the roof of the Dome Hotel, or anywhere along the route from the Hotel to the Harbour.

enjoy the 20 Temmuz "Freedom for all Cypriots" day

Sorry forgot to say that you should get there early and enjoy the parades of the Turkish Peace Forces and other local Government Agencies along with School Children who if it wasn't for the 20th of July 1974 would not be here.

Thanks for the sympathy, are there any airshows due in September between 11th and 21st will be winging my way there then staying in Lapta at the Semparti. I might be able to take time out of my busy sunbathing schedule whilst there.

My wife also likes airshows so hopefully there may be a small flypast whilst we are there.

Thank you Aslan

Very helpful information. We are going out on a friends boat but did not know what time to head out.

Doubt we will have the bad luck you did. It does not rain here so only thing we will have to worry about is sunstroke!!!

The Turkish Stars are amazing and boy do they fly low over the Dome. If you are anywhere near the Dome car park hold on to your hat and stick your fingers in your ears! It's usually a very good day but very very hot and don't forget to give yourselves plenty of time to find a parking space.

Aslan,

Is that time confirmed cos it is usually 18.00 ish.

Whatever get down early and enjoy the atmosphere. I am sure that because the show is over the sea they fly lower than the Red Arrows on land based shows. Awesome.
