I am looking for some cheap chicken wire type fencing to close of my back garden for my little puppy. Do they sell this at Marshalls? Where else could I try?

IMMAP I have found to have the largest range and reasonable prices. The big IMMAP is almost opposite the Ship Hotel on the main Girne Lapta road.

Can't think what the name of the company is, but you'll get it at the big blue building (D.I.Y. Yapi Market) on the main road between Lapta and Alsancak, on the right hand side if you are going in the direction of Girne. I bought some there for exactly the same purpose as you a few weeks ago at very reasonable price. They also sell the plastic ties which are great if you are fixing the wire to existing fencing.

That's great. Thanks everyone. I'll have a look on monday. Poodledog - I actually need to attach it to a cement wall so not sure how I'm going to do that. I'll have a look in the yapi markets.

Hi Nikegirl ... in the UK I would have used galvanised masonary staples but over here the stone is either very brittle or extremely hard and the concrete in between the stones is just like powder, so with the tension on the netting I don't think it would stay in place very long. I would suggest you use heavy duty cable clips, but make sure they are the ones with masonary pins in otherwise you won't get a good hold. You'll also have to stretch the netting fairly taught. If you've got a flat edge to the top of the wall, it might be worthwhile bending the wirte over the top by about 1 and a half inches and fixing in with some masonary nails and some wire to secure it.

i'll definitely check out that place between Lapta and Alsancak since the prices are so reasonable. wow poodledog you certainly know your stuff!! i'll try and upload some photos of the wall. it is about 20 years old and as you say it is very brittle so I'll need to be careful that it doesn't fall down, especially as we are only renting! DD - I'll register today. I think it's a great thing that you've set up and I fully support you! The puppy is a pomeranian and completely nuts I'll put some photos on the website soon.
