WARNING - Mariachi bottled beer

Just brought 6 bottles of Mariachi beer from Tempo and as my husband took one of the bottles out of the cardboard wrapping the bottle exploded, thank god it did not go in his eyes and my daughter was not near by. There is glass everywhere.

I wonder what caused that? Could the bottles have been hot?

Not sure, only live in Alsancak so they were ony in the car for about 6 minutes and they where on the floor of the car so not shaken up either, very frightening as could have been so dangerous.

No they were standing up, and my 3 year old was in the car so I always drive slowley. I have never seen a bottle explode like that there is glass everywhere, I can only think they may have got warm in shop and shook up before going onto shelves. Anyway hope its a one off but just be aware if anybody buys any to be careful.
