Went to Turkey recently used bottled water for drinking but found the water safe to use to clean teeth and if boiled for coffee etc. What's the water like in Cyprus, going to Kyrenia?

The water is safe to drink BUT!!!!!!!

Because of the chemical content it is not advisable. It is those chemicals not any pollution etc that will cause you problems. Your body is not used to those chemicals and there is a good chance you would suffer a reaction.

Best to drink bottled water.

Thanks both, yes cyprusishome I had heard that the water contains many more minerals than the water at home and some people can't tolerate them. Think I'll stick to the bottled stuff and the Efes of course!!

Bought water dispenser from Electokur with small fridge in base for £80

19 litres of water from supermarket only 3.5ytl plus deposit on first bottle.

Soon saves the cost of small bottles and gives space in the fridge previously taken up by 5 or 1 litre bottles..

We just bought a water dispenser with a fridge too. I agree with breezyboy, it's a great saving.

Good tip about buying water in bulk as the smaller bottles do fill up the fridge space. Those water dispensers sound a really good idea too, food for thought.
