Good morning!!

Can anyone tell me where I can purchase Citronella Oil.

I tried two chemists in Girne yesterday to no avail.

Many thanks.

Hi puppylove you would probably be better off trying hardware stores or somewhere that sells garden furniture. I think there is a shop called Aladdins Cave on the road out towards Esentepe - they might sell something like that. Or there is another shop on that road and I cant remember the name of it - big store with glass front and has umbrellas, loungers, dustbins etc etc all outside and they will have it I'm sure. Lemar might sell it as well.

To be honest I tried to find it in Girne but with no luck. You can get it in with no problem on the south side in Nicosia. I usually ask our friends to stock up for us when they go on their shopping trips. Let me know if you find it anywhere in the North - the burners are a godsend at keeping the flies and mozzies away in the summer.

Hi, I haven't found any oil, but have managed to get citronella candles. These were in Gift Planet, in the street going up just oppostie Ataturk's statue. The shop is on the left as you head away from the statue. I had three candles in glass holders (about the size of a decent whisky tumbler) for 25ytl.

As I dont drive (taking my first lesson on Monday!!) is there anyone who lives in Karsiyaka who goes south on a regular basis who could possibly get me some when they next go over?
