The Kyrenia Rehabilitation Centre (Cheshire Home) is in need of a landscaper to extend the car park and create a pleasant garden for the patients to use. The home is just before the Bellapais roundabout, on the right hand side when leaving Girne. There is a parking area for about 8 cars and a scrubby "grass" area. We'd like to extend the car park to the two olive trees, possibly terrace the grass area to provide somewhere for the patients to sit, and maybe move the bust of Ataturk closer to the building.

The problem is that we couldn't pay for it, but we could get the company that did it a lot of publicity.

If anyone is interested, please come and have a look at the site.

I know I'm asking a lot, but it is a very worthy cause. Disabled people in the TRNC get a lousy deal - we're trying to make life a little bit better for them.

Hi Hal, it may be along call to get a company to do it F.O.C. But how about if we could put together a working party for a few days, vlounteers ,maybe people off the board.

I think it would need to cool down a bit first

I think it needs more than that Lee, unless we can get a working party with a JCB! We need to dig, level and surface the car park, move the bust on its marble plinth and terrace the garden.

However...

The current hot spell is due to finish this week, so is anyone up for a bit of physical work? Next week would be a good time because the centre is closed for two weeks, so no patients to disturb.

Who's up for it?
