Just watched the News and the Israelis are now lifting the Gaza Blockade to allow in all Civilian Aid- but not surprisingly no Military Aid.

I feel this is a step forward and feel that a lot has to be thanked to Turkey for their recent stance.

Although Tony Blair is trying to take credit!

I'm genuinely surprised that with all the instinctive anti-israel sentiment on "44"

now reactivated by the gaza flotilla, people still believe israel will really open-up gaza



while only a fool or fanatic assumes the gaza/hamas/saga is simple humanitarianism,

nobody disputes the dire suffering of the people of gaza,

but only to whom blame should be apportioned at the deepest level of unbiased analysis



israel and turkey had in the past been virtual soulmates in fiercely countering terror

and neither country ever flinched from "hot-pursuit" tactics across their southern borders



meanwhile citizens of many western nations are desperately wringing their hands at this,

but it may be instructive to recall the american bombing of the main tv station in belgrade,

and the vast "collateral" in iraq and afganistan "for reasons of national interest" of course



while the poor greek cypriots have neither bombed, invaded, or nor murdered any civilians

oh, not since 1974 or thereabouts
