| Owners at our sister site have complained that Muslim women entering the pool fully clothed are affecting the chlorine levels - interested to hear from any pool experts if this would be the case. |

| Any contamination entering the water will lower the chlorine level. If dust blows in or is introduced on clothing the chlorine will react with it. This is one of the reasons a shower before swimming is strongly recommended as it removes dust and sweat, with the sweat containing ammonia this forms combined chlorine, or chloramines. These are 100 times less efficient than free chlorine. |
