From the scientist who grew an ear on a mouse and created blood vessels from stem cells, comes the latest amazing breakthrough - hair products that banish frizz.

The spray and cream are designed to keep hair silky straight, whatever the weather.

Billed as one of the biggest advances in the beauty world for three decades, they shield each hair from the tiny drops of water that cause kinks and curls



The No Frizz products are the brainchild of Professor Robert Langer, of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, who has won some of the most prestigious prizes in medicine.

He was part of the team who in the mid-90s successfully grew an ear-shaped piece of cartilage for human transplant, by implanting a 'scaffold' on the back of a mouse.

For the hair project, Professor Langer's team studied the straightening creams, sprays and gels already available.
