Just wondering how central for shops, restaurants, bars etc our apartment will be. Apparently to get to it you have to head fo the fountain roundabout and it's a block behind the cafe Dukan and a block away from the passport restaurant. Is it pretty flat in Kyrenia? Went to Kalkan Turkey last month, beautiful place but you needed to be a mountain goat, not good in sweltering heat and shoes with heels were definitely a no-no unless you fancied a broken ankle.

Heard that it's absolutely boiling out there at the moment wondering what's the average temperature for this time of the year, will be coming in ten days time, can't wait to get away from this miserable so called British summer. Roll on the 30th!!

Yes it's pretty central for shops and restaurants and yes it's pretty flat. Oh and yes it's blinkin' boiling. Average temps around 35-40 degrees.

That is hot! It's all of 16 degrees here think it's going to be a bit of a shock to the system to say the least. Think I'd better invest in a sunhat!!

I live not far from the passport - yes it will be boiling hot especially if you dont have any air con. Watch out for the noise though it can be stressful when the passport starts its on and off works - pneumatic drill etc all day and also their three deliveries of water a day have upset their near neighbours- the watermill hotel aka fawlty towers is another one that emits excess noise as well. Whilst we can take so much the music and power tools it has driven us to distraction - ensure you have a word with either passport of watermill if their noise levels goes up too high - we had to go to Belydesi to report. You might be lucky and be located far enough away for it not to affect you. Otherwise have a good holiday.
