kavenkoy..........I understand you can ride a bike upto 100cc on a full UK licence (with L plates). Of course if you have a full UK bike licence you can ride all size bikes here (must be over 18).

I can legally ride a scooter of up to 50cc based on my UK licence however if I want to have a bigger engine as suggested above then I would have to sit a test or ride around on L plates

scoobydoo, pop into one of the driving schools up by the police station in girne {nr wednesday market} they will tell you the licence law for you, in the uk you would need to take your CBT test which is a curcuit base training site which take's just a few hours to complete, and your then road legal for 2 yrs, upto a 125cc or maximum kerb weight of 150kg. before the end of the 2yrs you need to take your full bike test, this also applys if you have a full uk driving licence, the maximum is 125cc or 150kg kerb weight, here on the other hand i have seen many bike/scooter with L PLATES on them so check with the school of motoring, as i do know people who have tried to get away with riding around on a bigger bike and not having the correct licence, and then having to sell the bike due to being banned from ridding it. which would also make you insurance null and void.

Scoobydoo, Go to Ergunes driving school and take your test, I did it a few weeks ago and it is so easy. It takes about 10 minutes sitting in an office with the guy questioning you on road signs and then outside for a little spin on a bike around the car park by the wednesday market! simple

I wish posters would get there facts correct Peugeot have a lot of there scooters now made in china in fact the Vclic COPIED the chinese manufactureres for that model and the engine is the same as the chinese ones comes out of the same plant but is twice the cost talk about profiteering also the Italians do the same with there scooters inparticular the Piaggio 100cc also made in Chine not to m ention Suzuki who I now believe have all there 50cc scooter made in their plant in China .Then you have the Honda lead made in India .and of cause you British rover made there and now I understand Ford has sold Jaguar to be built in China . so before you listen to the knockers of chinese made scooters remember that the world revolves around the cheapest manufacture wether it be engines from Barcelon and gearboxes from bridgend and assembled in France .The machine tools could be italian or american or german or chinese In the case of the Konced sports 50 alot of the machines in their Factory at

continued fro above Cixi were Cicinatti milling machines Lathes etc and the model that Peugeot copied had been in production for at least 4 years to my knowledge before they started selling bthe V Clic . So before you listen to the peop[le who don't know and are selling a over priced copy because it has a badge of some european manufacturer think twice ou will probably pay double for the same machine with the same warranty . If these manufacturers are so good why don't they put a 5 year warranty on them like we do with SMC from Taiwan in the UK markets Remember what was first said about Jap crap when they first came to the UK market same thing was said then but sadly they saw the demise of bikes like norton BSA Vellocette etc so if you want a cheap reliable bike then it has to be one of the better Chinese manufacturers best value for money on this Island
