Hi guys

Any one know a good laptop technician as my Toshiba notebook types 1 letter by itself and makes noises at start up. Once i press the ESC key the typing stops.

Help much appreciated or its 250 GBP down the drain.

Does your keyboard have one of those funny nipple mouse buttons in the middle of the keyboard, if so try pushing it down into the keyboard fairly hard, I had one that the connection to the keyboard was a little loose and the connection is under the button on some models.

you need to give your keyboard a good cleaning. Try shaking it upside down(whilst turned off of course)

Also blow over it, preferably with a compressor.

If you spilt a sugary drink on it at some time, this will cause the connections under the keys to short, and is almost impossible to clean. In which case you will have to replace your keyboard!
