All the name signs have come down at Lacem Restaurant in ALsancak and I don't see the Muhtar or his family in there any more.

Does anyone know what is happening. I know some Russians were running it three nights a week, but still the food leaves a lot to be desired.

Any news???

Perhaps deafening music well into early hours has driven customers away ?

Lacem Resturant has been sold, the Muhtar Orhan and his family still live next door to the Resturant as far as I know.

I think the new owners are Russians, and the name is changing very soon. We were in there last week and was told that the menu and name were being changed. The saxaphone player is realy good, and would pay good money just to go and listen to him, also the food was very good but a little expensive. But as I said it was worth it just to listen to the sax player.

The Barrel would be a good name for an Olde English pub, but a Russian bar? Maybe they mean the barrel of a gun??

Haven't seen the Muhtar in his 'office' for a while either! I wonder if he's work out of his other office again (upstairs in Atakara)!

Oh well, let's see......

All sparkling lights at night now - actually looks nice when it's dark and the lights are on.

Will try the food next week and let you all know the outcome!
