Tesco our local store, have a wheelie bin in which donations of pet food can be placed, which is then collected by our local dogs home. It is always very well subscribed to.



Has anyone thought of asking Lemar if they would allow the same? The British in particular



are usually very generous to such schemes!

KAR volenteers have a stall set up outside Lemar on a friday where they have one of the Lemar shopping trollies in which shoppers can donate dog/cat food as well as pasta and rice which is then used to feed the animals at the rescue centre.

Food items can also be left at their office in Girne.



I'm not sure if they are at Lemars every friday though as I know they are desperate for more volenteers to help out on the stall.

I would urge ALL posters on this board, to consider making a small donation to



KAR. What is an unimportant sum to most of us, could make a significant difference



to the care and treatment of stray and unwanted animals. Please support this most worthwhile



of charities.Please send Chris your donation NOW!

Chris u r doing a great job wish i could do more, now alreadyimfeeding the 15 i found last week minus one who is still in the vets kar known the problems we have had and i am doing my best to save them alone. i cant take them home because of my staffi and my lovely valentine who i found being thrown out of a car a bbag og bones but now they are territorial its costing me a fortune but i really admir u and wish i could do moreb.i wish another vchaarity could b set up to take the pressure off kar abd bark. i'm visiting again on 31st august for a week - please can someone direct me to the lemar place in case KAR is there on the friday of that week?

Thank you for everybody who has contributed or who are about to.



The web site will be updated as soon as I receive the monies, everytime we reach £100 the money will be transferred to KAR as I think they would prefer small regular amounts to keep going, rather than two lots twice a year.

How cool is that!!



They say everyone has 15 minutes of fame, had to wait till I was 52, but what the hell!!



According to Robin (my son) we have had 167 visits to the web page somebody accessed it from Singapore!

Quite a few hits from Turkey as well.

Today we reached £105, thanks to Wynyardmans additional donation!!!!



This was sent immediately to KAR and Margaret has been informed at the rescue centre, she is thrilled that we are collecting on behalf of the animals there.



I would like to thank everybody who has made this possible and I hope we can carry on collecting!
