If you have elctricity connected to your home, unless you already own the generator I would not bother.

There are odd pockets where there are some problems but our experience even in the darkest days of daily 12 hour cuts we never had a generator. Now, as far as we are concerned the number of power cuts lasting more than an hour are few and far between.

I know others will disagree but that is our 4.5 years experience. In fact I do not know anyone that has a generator.

YES YES bring your geni (if you own it already). Worth its weight in gold. You can always sell it and make a profit here if you never use it. Many people always have a geni for backup.

Hi

Remember that the generator will attract Duty, it's not classed as 'used household goods'. When your container is delivered to your home, the generator will be taken back to Famagusta again by Customs and assessed, then you must go to collect it and pay the Duty.

Cheers
