Tanners Secret Terrace last night.Great ambiance,value for money food.and good bar tariff.The real bonus was the very talented Nial with a wonderful reprtiore of soul,balad and pop.It's apparently a regular Tuesday night event and I highly recommend going.

Pre cynics posts......I am NOT connected to the place but will be returning.

Karacum is the location.

Mmmm, not sure about the food at Taners. We thought the prices were ok but finding the chicken in the chicken molihiya was like looking for a needle in a haystack!

Tanners always has been a lovely 'hideaway' to go.

Scoobydoo, did you say anything to Fikri at the time? He would have been upset that you found his hospitality wanting and I am sure he would have done something about it there and then.

Msg 4.I agree completely.I think Fikri would be mortified to think one of his dishes was sub standard.He would far prefer "feedback" negative or otherwise than dissatisfied customers.

Firstly, I never never never complain about a restaurant without bringing up the subject with the proprietors first!



Secondly, the hospitality was great!



Thirdly, what I had tasted good, it was just lacking chicken, as per my first comment that it was like looking for a needle in a haystack ....... it was the chicken that made me choose the dish in the first place!

What did Fikri say or do for you when you told him you were dis-satisfied with the amount of chicken then please?



My earlier comment was not a criticism of you just a question, but some people may read your first comment, particularly the bit that said: " Not sure about the food though..." and view it as a negative for Taner's Terrace and on that basis not try it out.



Fikri is one of the lovliest hosts in north Cyprus and always tries his hardest to make sure everyone is happy and satisfied and as you know the food is always home made,fresh and very tasty.



I do hope you do go back again as wotzup7 suggests.

thank you all for your comments. every criticism is good as it makes me find out the things i am doing wrong so i am happy to hear them. as you say i try my best because i want to do my job properly and satisfy everyone as much as possible. and i hope you give it another try

the name of the meal was chicken topkapı, and its one of my own favourites

thanks for the artwork as well, they look really nice, they may become the ones after vettriano i saved the name.



we are located by the sea in karakum, i am signposted on the main road as you come from girne towards çatalköy, from the roundabout the turning is after 1 km, after stroll inn, marshall DIY shop, and çağlaş market and its before court yard, pizza land and high life hotel. take the turning towards the sea and i am 500meters down, i hope this will be enough. if not contact me on 0533 841 0550
