There must be an element of paying for the ambience and location in this ! although i agree there has to be a cut off point ! the Shayna is now a spectacular venue and has top Turkish entertainment which also must effect prices of meals and drinks !

I went to Shayna last year and its a quality place in a lovely setting. 15TL sounds just about right.



Why are there so many people on here that think these quality establishments owe them a favour?? It's starting to get really tedious.

You have more money than sense.Either that or you are blind and walked past all the signs from top of town down thro Harbour. You can get a 4-5ytl beer as normal at the harbour or at the main square.

Consider yourselves very lucky indeed .................. the economics of TRNC dont add up, never have done and never will



Thats just one reason I wont have a restaurant or bar anymore

As others have said, if you want to have a drink in one of the more upmarket watering holes in the TRNC then expect to pay a premium. The owners of Shayna have invested heavily in creating a fantastic venue with quality enertainment, I personally have no problem with paying that little bit extra for drinking in such nice surroundings.



Put it this way, if you want to stay in a 5* hotel, you will expect to pay more than if staying in a 3* hotel.



If you don't like the prices then don't drink there - simples !!!

I agree with message 19, I have been to Shayna and the service and surroundings are excellent.



The location and scenery are outstanding, like fiendshipaul says if you don't like the prices don't go there.

if you do tend to visit nice bars not spit and sawdust establishments,so yes they do charge a little more for real spirits and not the local shyte,but in saying that if you like to sit on the terrace at roxannes and watch the world go by and look at the lurvelley eye candy expect to pay 25 tl for a beer and vodka and mixer.



1 pays for what 1 wants in life!!

I think racoonchic was just saying that they thought it was expensive but like all things in life, there are standards, for a good club I would expect to pay more and I personally don't think that is dear.



UK upmarket establishment 6.50 is pretty cheap for a beer and a G&T but at least people will have an idea now that it is more expensive there than in a standard bar.



I am looking forward to checking it out when I have the time, I will just remember to take more than my usual 30TL out with me

If you dont like the place dont go back, to slag it off to hunderds of peopple is wrong. If you can afford it then go if not dont. The place is great and should be marketed by peope as such.
