Memorial/Head Stone ??

I would like to have a smallish memorial/head stone made but dont want marble. I would prefer something more rustic, similar to lime stone or york stone. Has anyone any experience of this here or know of any stone masons who have a selection of engravable stone which is not just marble.

heading for alsancak go past what I think was kings bar on the right & start looking on your left there was a stone mason with all kinds of stone ect outside sorry I dont have any more info than that, maybe if anyone who lives that way who knows of it can help. I have seen some beautiful headstones here with portraits on in many types of stone so would think that what you want would be more than possible it's just finding the right place. I have a friend who may know so will try & find out for you.
