Our lives have been destroyed by the builder OSKAN BESOK of Karsiyaka.

The government refuse to do anything about crooked builders and their supporters.

We have always tried to support TRNC 110% including using always KTHY. Our visit to England for my parents 60th wedding anniverary has been totally ruined by the collapse of KTHY and the follow up in action of the government.

Now our home has been broken into while we are in England.

Right now **** TRNC. I hate the poxy country.

Oh no not again..now your home has been broken into..Have you thought of not coming back perhaps trying to find a place back home to rent, you should be able to get some help with paying rent etc, then come back and forth as you please..because all of this that keeps happening to you sure sounds like its all getting far too much for you and you have to think of your health.that if anything should come first, you could end up breaking down..

David,

I am so sorry. Your anger and hurt are understandable.I can feel the wind of change in the TRNC but as is the Cyprus way

Yevas! Yevas! It is largely thanks to people like you, that have taken issue, but within the law, that outmoded unfair practices ar

coming under public scrutiny. Stick to your core beliefs and consider your health. WE SHALL OVERCOME!

May you and Christene find peace and Justice.

Although this is hopefully not related to David's burglary I think it's worth mentioning if you live in Karsiyaka.

Today as my husband I and were going out a young Turkish boy and a elderly lady (possibly the boy's grandmother) jumped in front of our car forcing us to stop and asked for money.

Didn't think much of it as I have seen them both begging in Girne town centre but have to say I have never seen them in the area we live.

We drove round the corner and stopped to say hello to a local neighbour who speaks excellent English.

He asked us if we had just seen a young "dirty looking" boy aged about 11/12 years old with an old lady.

He warned us not to leave anything lying around our garden and also to make sure that we locked our house properly.

This yound boy is known to police for theft and also for breaking into houses.

Please be aware if you see him around.

Let'a not all get carried away, the old lady and the boy have been in the Lapta / Karsiyaka area for months now. They may have a perfectly legitimate reason for doing so.

If they have been (and it is an IF) up to mischief then Lapta police will soon be on to them.

Jumping in front of your car and demanding money is highway robbery... make sure you report them.

David,

You both have our deepest sympathies. You have to separate these problems and that way lessen them. don't let them beat you down.

KTHY has been going bust for years. It was always going to happen at some stage - no airline can keep going making a loss for ever. People always get caught out by these things. It's not your fault and God knows why it;s taken so long for the Aviation authorities to cotton onto the fact and stop them from flying... if they don't pay their servicing bills they shouldn't have been flying.

Your home has been broken into... I'd put money on it having absolutely nothing to do with this BB and everything to do with chance and opportunity. Many more people get burgled in the UK (me included).. hence the high crime and low detection rate there.

Sal, remember the little story about the messed up kid i told you about a few months? Well, i will bet my house, it's the same kid. They live in Karsyaka, behind the Post Office, and are extremely well known. there is a mother, a grandmother, the boy and an older boy. They are not allowed in the shop in the village for reasons known only to the shop keeper, but i could hazard a guess as to why.

This boy is known for torturing animals, and will tease them at your front gate, fortunately, Mr Ted puts on a good show of being extremely vicious when he sees either the 2 boys or the grandmother, so i'm pretty confident my house is safe. However, if you don't have a 'Mr Ted'...as others have said...LOCK UP YOUR HOUSE!

This whole family are very well known in Karsiyaka, and any mention of them to a local, and they will tell you to call the police immediately! (or call Sal, and he'l sort them out for you!!)

I am really sorry to hear your news, David. It seems that everything that could go wrong, has gone wrong and you have had such a run of bad luck. We were really looking forward to seeing you in Whitby and catching up, but will understand if you do not feel to much like socialising. We are thinking about you and hope you get your problems sorted soon. They must be leaving a very sour taste in your mouth.

Please go forth with your stupid comment, right now can do without it.

We have limited access to pc and it is only now 9.47 on sunday morning.

As for puppy lover et al, the old lady and boy, as daisy says live in karsiyaka village and are very well known, for years.

The police know, almost certainly who is resposible and it is probably not adults.

Until we get home we will not know what is missing, we have not got long distance vision.

That is all from me on subject because of the usual stupid comments that arise on this forum. So for the inconsiderate people there will be no answers for you.

For those that know Christine and I, thanks for your comments and will hopefully see you wednesday.

cyprusishome,

How dreadful for you. We have been the victims of a burglary in Cyprus as well and it is not a good feeling, I know. I hope they didn't get away with much and are soon caught. So very sorry for you both and I'm sure you feel that this is the last straw.

Don't worry about the stupid comments from some prople here, a lot of them just want something to say. When I reported our break-in on here, somebody said that 'it should be kept in proportion and that I should not send people into a panic as it was a rare occurance in TRNC' !!!!!!!! Don't let them get you down.

One thing that I do agree with though, is that lots of people do announce on here that they are going off on holiday. The place is small and the chances are that there address is known to many who read this BB. So many, including Brits are living hand to mouth and crime is bound to rise as in the UK. You wouldn't tell that your house would be empty in your local pub in the UK, so why do it here?

David, I am so sorry to hear this news, it really is adding insult to injury, hopefully you will get back and find not much has gone, or even better the culprits are found and you get your stuff back.

As for the old lady and young boy, if this lady catches me sitting around our pool I get screamed at (God knows what she is saying) followed by the cut throat sign! What the heck is that all about?

I can't believe it David, as you and Christine do so much for others, yet have appalling things happen to you. When you come back, you need to take some time out and try and rest, otherwise you will make yourself ill with stress and worry.

I do hope you enjoyed your short holiday in England despite all these problems, and look forward to seeing you both next Saturday. I don't think anyone would blame for extending your time in England and for not coming back for a while. Stella

It`s such a shame this has happened but dont be too hard on the Country. When we lived in the UK (in a village) we were broken into three times and I was frightened to go outside after dark, even with my dog.

I hope they find who did it and that you get some of your things back.

cyprusishome. sorry to hear about your troubles, but have to say these things are happening all over the world not just the TRNC. Sounds to me that in the frame of mind you are in out the moment you should stay in England.

'Sorry folks, if you try to make this wonderful Island like ''little Britain'', It will surely end up like UK.'

Whats the connection, to not wanting your life savings lost to crooked practices,to not wanting broken into,or to want an administration that protects the innocent and punish the guilty.

If thats 'little Britain'. then its also' little rest of Europe and USA'.Matter of fact its probably a sentiment entertained by most places in the World,

my neigbour was robbed last yr they were being watched close by and when they went out with their guest, they ramed the front dr and did a quick clean up,they stole the safe but were caught point is living in the UK most of the yr I installed a buglar alarm that texts me if there ia an intrusion which eased my fear and this yr having a grill to the front window to allow the breeze only thro' the win,I actually may do all the ground floor windows you can only try, also since the back has open land i also installed a alarm senser flickering 24 hrs,but then I guess thieves know who to rob ,and miss out the unoccupied properties,I do feel sorry for david as his property was unoccupied ,I was told they only rob for cash maybe that's changed

Lilyros msg 18......It is also a known fact in this village, that this boy likes to torture his animals. I cringe inside everytime i see him with a new one. Fortunately he hasn't had one for a few months now....i can only pray that he has grown out of it...
