Got an email today telling me I had won £80,000 on a lottery draw and my email

was selected. I am very dubious and reluctant to reply. They don't ask for bank details

but name, address etc. No doubt it is a scam but the email amused me as it was "funeralsa@"

something or other. Anyone had one of these

You are right to be sceptical phylray. No bona fide organisations just pick out random emails from the web to give money to. Dont respond, delete the message and any others you get that are similar. They are all scams. At best if you respond you will be bombarded with spam and at worst you could be taken for an expensive ride.

Yes, it sounds too good to be true, and I will just delete it.

Don't reply, just delete the email. If you reply you will get another email with some sort of details of a contact person. Eventually you will be asked for money so they can release your winnings.

Just a scam

Received this joke this morning :

"After Nigeria was eliminated from the World Cup, the Nigerian goalkeeper personally offered to refund all the expenses of fans who travelled to South Africa.

He said he just needs their bank details and pin numbers to complete the transaction. "

A couple of years ago, I got an e mail, actually it was to my ex, but he'd disappeared a few days earlier.

It asked how he wanted his money, and it was for loads, I deleted it as soon as I saw who'd sent it, can you believe, Camelot. You'd think if they were trying a scam they'd come up with a more believable name than that.

Yes, got another one into spam today and just deleted it. Didn't ask for money but personal

details (not bank Still, they must be scams. Like these endless Nigerian ones, and another

seemingly from America, saying I had been left money in a will by a relative (in dollars

I don't think so!
