Pete,

There are 3 Ezic's in Ky.

The obvious one on the main road heading West.

Ezic Premier up by the new bypass.

And Ezic Penuts behind the hospital next to the new auditorium, fantastic sea views.

Yes, it's a really good place to eat. Was taken there by local friends last year

The main one near by-pass & really must find it again next month when am there. Busy, fashionable, clean, good service & good food. I believe it was

a Turkish man who started it. Thanks for info. about Tues. night. Will pass it

on to family members who there soon.

You could try The Address - on road towards LAPTA. Was told by local

friend that the little breads there you cannot find elsewhere now. Great meze & almost too much delicious food. Bizim Han on same road, also only

locals eat there which is a good sign & reasonable. Niazi's by the harbour too

In April we had some superb meals at Ezic Premier the desert choc souffle was brilliant and our boys (age 6 n 5 could not get enough). The only problem was one of the staff supported Norwich City and that does not go down well with me originating from near Ipswich. We (the town) will of course get promoted to the premier division whilst Norwich get relegated this season.

Go up towards where the Wednesday market is and take one of the turnings to the new by-pass. You can't miss Ezic Premier it's right on the corner.

Ezic Buffet - this is amusing - i know a waiter who works there who says the following ' The British come and eat a little and drink a lot, and the locals pile their plates high and only eat a little, and also drink little'!!! I said 'thats what you get when you have an all you can eat and drink situation - we are British afterall - wait until the yanks get here'.

HH - thats really funny....but totally true!!! My sister in law is so guilty of piling her families plates up that stuff falls on the floor! (hasnt happened at Ezic Premier though as she hasnt been but UK restaurants that do those sort of deals!).

Rachel, as always trying to do all UK people down.

Did this buffet once and although most there were obviously from UK there was little sign of excess or waste.

Yes the kids got a bit over enthusiastic but so what. The food served was only second class anyway.

Certainly not up to Ezic standard in the main premier restaurant, Ezic in Girne or Peanuts.

cih

you are boring, and I was only repeating what a waiter had told me, and I cannot believe that you have not seen the wastage if you have been there - I happen to believe the waiter myself!

and yes I do put the English people down, but they are often the ones who walk around the harbour with their boobs and bums and beer guts hanging out everywhere - disgusting for us English who have more manners and morals - or maybe you enjoy that?

not sure where the name rachel cropped up - but if you would like to call me that then please carry on.

One point I can actually agree.

You can always tell CERTAIN people from the UK, not just English, I feel like throwing them in the harbour, they are a disgrace.

Most of them do not even look pleasant. One thing for certain they are being disrespectful to the country they are guests in.

To any body who does feel it is appropriate to wander around any town looking like beached whales in skimpy outfits think again. You just look stupid.

There you go Rachael we can agree on something!!!!!

If a few managed to make it over, they would certainly know how to tip. 15-20% at least is the norm.

Would you say the Brits and TC's are just as gratuitous ?

turbo,

Do not give them ideas, a few pennies suffice usually. If we get any number of your American brethern throwing dollars around the restauarants would soon close down at that rate of tipping.

By the way, Rachael is one of those that likes to condemn anything illegal but is happy to work illegally herslf.

Back to original thread.

The food is not the best and certainly would not recommend, unless you are a tourist and wanting to experience "kfc style food in trnc".

Usually the food in Ezic is very good, we often eat at peanuts cos it is a great place to relax.

But the buffet is an excuse to get people to eat at Ezic, and is aimed at the tourist market, ie as much as you want at a cost you are happy with!!

Buffets are great, the wastage is so huge.

We have signs on buffets :

"Please feel free to taste anything and eat as much as you like, we encourage you to make as many trips as you wish ,please dont over load your plates."

Cyprusishome, dont be so cheap , the waiters deserve a good tip, if they have worked for it, they depend on tips.

Got to agree with the original post, and have to agree with some of the other ones especially the one mess 14 from hot hornet is so apt

we now of one english family who are rather larger than average shall we say and they are to be found in Ezic prem every tuesday, they just love the place, we also know of another english crowd who regularly make the pilgrimage and are always the last to leave cramming down as much drink as they can, but hey it is advertised as eat and drink as much as you like so some make gluttons of themsels 'their privelege'

It will not put us off going though - we love it

One of my favourite restaurants , Ezic has got to be the most forward thinking restaurant owners on the island , each restaurant he opens gets better and better , try his latest venture on the road to Nicosia opposite the Honda garage , not only van you eat there it comes complete with swimming pool .

Ricky - Downstairs in the premier you can go casual, upstairs in the Platinum I would perhaps recommend something more formal.
