If you have not got or had a reply, then yes you need to get insurance at the boarder. It will cost you around

35 euros or for full comp 70 euros.

yes, you need to get insurance to get to north with cars hired from south. it is very expensive to hire a car from south anyway. why not hire a car from north.

He'll do £15- per day all inclusive (mileage, CDW etc) If you hire for a week, he will even pick you up and drop you off at Larnaca for only £25- each way!!!

Its only £10 for car hire from Larnaca airport if you book on the internet. The benefits are you can go back an forth across the border as many times as you want.Explore the whole of Cyprus why not.
