Pretty sorted now, but still miss the extravagence of the UAE as the post talks about. Still remember the silver porsche outside MOE on the top open air parking area that from what I hear turned out to be not stainless steel as I expected but white gold. Not sure if it was true about the porsche but I know there is a Mercedes Maclaran in white gold in Abu Dhabi but at least it was environmentally friendly, it runs on bio-fuel.

Oh ye of little faith, MOE (Mall of the Emirates) Carpark by the way and although it says Dubai registration the red plates with A.D. on them kind of suggest differently unless they changed the system so that A.D. means Arab from Dubai.



You would not believe how much money is spent on fruitless things in UAE Dave, as Chegwin said, the train story is not far from the truth.



My daughters school had a bring your pet to school day and one of the students turned up with not 1 but 2 very rare baby white tigers. Daddy was a member of the royal family but admitted that he was rather low on the list of importance.
