Bus from Larnaca to Border crossing

I have a friend arriving at Larnaca and he wants to take a bus to Nicosia for me to pick him up at the border.

Can anyone tell me which border crossing would be best for this, and any directions would help

I met a friend at Metehan last week - they took bus to main bus station and another one to the crossing, no problems at all - and she was chinese!! (Though I gather she did get shouted at as being Turkish when in Larnaca, as she was brown (!) til they saw her face!)

Chinese / Thai folk working in the 'rump' RoC wasn't so unusual that a GC would normally get mixed up with someone who is Turkish - your friend must have been very unlucky and the person thinking such a thing INCREDIBLY stupid :(
