Hi,as some of you will know the rates of duty on imported cars changed last week...the biggest amount is on large cars/4x4..does anybody khow exactly what these changes are..thanks in advance

Can anyone tell me what the import duty would be on Ford K/A 1300 4years old had it from new. £5000 when new valued around £2800 in glasses guide.

40% of the book price. But I heard last week that it has increased by a further 11%, whether this applies to all vehicles I do not know...

If you go to customs in Nicosia they will give you a quote for the car you want to import. Its is rather a complicated process of calculations ie. not a straight forward percentage.

Ring up a guy called "DENKTASH",he is a commisioner at customs in Nicosia.Very helpfull guy though his english is limited.0533 875 8989,or send him a mail with copy of your log book at sezercyp@hotmail.com

and he'll give you the exact prices on that day as it would be different the next day.
