Everytime I look at the events calendar there is a dearth of events posted east of Girne. Does life cease to exist past the Fez, or are they raking it in this side and don`t need to advertise on the forum. Unless you spend all your time driving around and looking at notice boards outside venues, which are often out of date.people this side are starved of information.

Come on you lot, it`s free to advertise on the forum and if you don`t put any bait on your fishing line you will not catch the fish.

To be honest it's pretty quiet on the east side - we are UK based but have a villa in Tatlisu - entertainment is based around going out to restaurants with friends, drinking cocktails and champagne around the pool.

Sorry if this sounds snobby - but it's true!!

We went to Sinya Restaurant last night and it was great. 3 people had the special of Aubergines with mince, rice and salad, one had the lamb and potatoes, 4 beers, 4 Galibou/Lemonade; small meze starter; coffee for 2 with brandies (which was un-drinkable to be honest) but the cost was TL99 for the whole lot.. now that is what I call a bargain!!!!!!!! Just near Kucuk Erenkoy.

Try The Moulos Inn, Kucuk Erenkoy - Janet is a very talented chef/cook - if you ask her nicely she will cook for you on a private basis - her food is Italian and has very delicate flavours. I wanted to keep her a secret but everyone should be allowed to enjoy her food.

Jackki, last time we went past Moulos, it said closed. Has it closed down, or was Janet on holiday?

Hello peeps

There is loads going on on the East side, some of the places are better than others but its what floats your boat Tiger

Sinya is definitely worth a visit for good food at reasonable prices, the village bistro (turtle bay) for a lovely relaxed meal with great chips is also worth a visit

Feedback, live 6 piece band are playing tonight (Sat 10th) at the Paradise Bar, Catalkoy from 8pm.

Guaranteed to get you up dancing to 60'/70's numbers that will have you remembering those aweful haircuts and kipper ties!

The Sea Terra Reserve complex has a very good bar/restaurant, and certainly a few more places up at Esentepe Village, including the Esentepe hotel, I think they have music but you would need to check . Hope this helps .
