I thought if you had done the auto dial back to sky to prove the box is connected to registered address you should get a couple of. Months before sky try and do anything but iceman is the expert but I assume he is just trying to be a fair and warn you that it might play up

Had the same warning from Iceman when he fitted my 1.8m dish in April. After you have been with Sky for a year it is not a requirement to be connected to your phone line, however if under a year in my opinion its worth the risk. Well worth the money to have a reliable satellite system.

You forgot to mention the box you want to bring is the multi room box you pay £10 a month..

If you wish to bring a box and use here in Cyprus, it must a box you are paying full subscription cost monthly.

If you bring a multi room box (normally connected to a UK phone line), Sky will send you two warning letters then they'll start billing you for two separate contracts. (backdated to the start date)

Some people get away with it by saying they don't have a phone line but it's a risk.

actually we have two sky boxes, two subscriptions here in london

the one I would like to bring over cost monthly £28 of which £10 goes to another room

so my monthly bill is £18 per month

Are these boxes both connected to a phone line in normal use?

I mean the £18 one and the other £10 multi room box.

yes over here in the uk, its part of the package so they can call to update and charge for any premium to pay channels

but it takes a while to chase with letters, they assume the box is not connected by phone and reminding us to connect and call for update ,once the phone line was'nt connected and that went one for months before they started to make contact

i suppose you bring the box and card enjoy and when letters start coming through the dr bring the box back sort out the issue then bring it back to cyprus is that what most of everyone does

ice man can get the whole system for you from scratch if you want you just need a postal address in uk you can use
