Has anyone received mail from UK posted after the collapse of CTA? Also does anyone know if mail for UK is going out yet, or when it's likely to start again?

Recieved a letter yesterday from the UK registry office, took about 4 or 5 days to get there. Not sure which because I don't know how long it took to process before they sent it.

I've been receiving packages last week and this week posted after cta and i sent a package last Wednesday to uk and it was received this Tuesday so it seems to me that the post is ok. there is still the issue though with post going missing from the uk but that was happening before cta and for as long as i can remember. the only post to be guaranteed to arrive here is registered post!

only official looking post seems to get through to us. If you ask people to use brown envelopes and, if they are skilful enough, address it using a printer then these tend to get through. Gives some credence to the story that someone is messing with the post.

We have found that this way has always been the best. Use jiffy bags and write printed papers on the outside. Fill in a custom sticker form that the post office in UK will give you and this method appears to deter anyone interferring with the mail. The post office may say to you that a custom form is not needed for the Mersin 10 Turkey address but INSIST that they give you one.

Not even registered post is guaranteed sadly. My friend sent me a registered package for my birthday on 24 May... I am still waiting for it! She said she will use UPS next time!

yes I have steve, that is obviously why I go UPS ( sarcasticly) Actually it is because I have ordered things from companies who use UPS and have had no problems, to the point where I specifically look for companies who use UPS for deliveries. My theory, pay a little more and get my order or pay a little less and take a chance. Up to the choice of the person I suppose
