Does anyone know what i have to do to get a Turkcell dongle to work in UK . Only going for a week but other than trying to find a cafe with Wi - Fi , ????



If anyone has any knowledge of this would appreciate it.

No it won't work in UK. You can always go to places like Costa or Starbucks that have free wifi.

It is probably cheapest to buy a PAYG dongle in the uk, starting from £20:

Would probably be a lot cheaper than paying roaming charges even if the turkcell dongle did work.

The above comments miss out the fact that the active part of your USB dongle is the data sim card. Take your dongle with you and buy a data sim card. However, agree with others that there are an increasing number of Free WiFi outlets. Add Weatherspoons to the list above.

Greenman, true in theory, but in practise these dongles are "sim locked", so you can't put other networks sim cards in them without getting them unlocked first. Less hassle to buy a new one for £20.
