Super Home Center in the south do a good range of of hoses... for some in-explicable reason they are referred to as Homebase amongst the ex-pat community - There are two in Lefkosa, the nearest to the border being at the Engomi shopping centre along side Carrefour etc.



Chease and Onion Crisps are readily available in the north, In Lemar et al, look for the the blue and orange packets with "Peynir Ve Sogan" being the flavour. They are fine. We also like the light green packet ones with yoghurt and herbs... They are also good with a ham and cheese roll!

Why go to the South for something as basic as a hose pipe? All the local Yapi markets stock them!...Shop local! keep your money in the local community!

I would have thought with all the furore and veiled threats regarding watering your garden, hose pipe would be difficult to get hold of?



I saw that article in the Cyprus News a couple of weeks ago, that poor lady in Lapta got fined 500YTL for filling her pool from the mains, then underwent an interrogation about why there was a hose pipe in her garden ... I thought the Hose Pipe police would have taken all known supplies out of the area by now.
