In any Business you have to have a combination of of a Good Quality Chef and his host , thats what you have with this First Class Resturant Base in Alsancak, Reason for sending this post is because so many people from the UK have been there and enjoy it.

The BEST restaurant in Cyprus is "The Terrace" at Karakum with food and setting to die for, sorry my opinion.

My wife her friend and their sons are probably there as i speak !

It's Niazi’s for us every time followed by Nosheen and The Archway.

Guido's we have been there after all the recommendations seen on here. Quite pleasant but we don't feel any urge to go again.

Don't pay any attention, the public show their strength of support by turning up time after time. I am looking forward to coming up to see you both in a couple of weeks.

Morning All, re message 18, Lilli, why so?.

Your restaurant as a result of the original posting has received yet more free publicity, reading through all the postings none were particularly critical, some were very positive, so from where I sit I'd maintain marketing business as usual.

For the record I have never eaten at Guido's.

My favourite restaurants are

Errols, The secret Terrace (Tanners), Archway (indoors with the fire), Ambiance (outside on a warm summer evening) and The Courtyard (on a monday with Brian Delaney).

Only another six weeks before I can enjoy them all again.

OK measey how many times have you been to Guido's. Because I've been there quite a few times and I think Liz & Guido are two of the nicest people you could meet, but I don't believe you have ever been there.

So yet another pointless post from you.

Ok this is my take on this thread. I love SilverRocks and always have, I also love Guzelyali and always have, + lots of other places. But if I fancy Pasta or something with an Italian twist, then there is only one place to head to. If you want a special meal maybe for an occasion then Guido is the man to talk to, he can give you ideas on what he can do for you, even if it is not on the menu. We all visit many restaurants and snack bars, it all depends on the time of day we want to eat. Breakfast, lunch, dinner etc., as to what would be our favourite. But the best meal I have ever had on this Island was at Guido's when I went with my husband and had lobster with tagliatelle. He came and asked us how we would like it cooked, did we want it spiced up with chilli etc., we did and it was fantastic. Thanks Guido and the lovely Liz.

A quick mention for Silver Rocks, or as Jean still calls it Rita's. Great place to relax with really nice staff.
