Whats the cost of using hotel pools in kyrenia & east kyrenia?

All of them seem to be charging silly prices now!

I knnow octupos water park is 10tl, which is a fair price. What about Oscars hotel? That used to be free, or by a drink at the pool bar and you can use their pools, whats the price now?

What hotels have got a nice beach and pool apart from Acapulco? Not really looking for somewhere that far east of Kyrenia. Just want a good sunday by a hotel pool with the choice to use their beach as well, for a fair cost! That type of day doesn't seem to exist anymore!

Any ideas?

Hi JoanneM,

Seems odd that any hotels want to charge for the use of their pools.

Thought they would be glad of any customers using the pool and bar/restaurant,

unless they are fully booked.

My thoughts exactly, but looking at old posts on here they all seem to charge AT LEAST 20tl, and then it's still 5tl just for a coke !

So if anyone does know a hotel that doesn't try and rip you off please let us know !

Steer clear of the Ship hotel which was always welcoming and friendly but since last week want to charge 20TL for the use of their pool despite those frequenting the pool buying drinks, lunch etc. They should be grateful of the extra business but clearly do not need it??????

Simena does not charge for pool sensible drinks and snack prices. Large pool. My grandson and his pal have used it for last two weeks.

There were only a very few of us, maybe 10, playing tennis at the 'Ship' - the court was mainly unused - certainly very few tourists used it. Some, who did, left all their rubbish - cans, bottles, wrappers, etc - we used to clean it all up, not the 'Ship' staff, yet they saw fit to double the price of our hour on the tennis court, even though they knew we were regulars. Now we don't go there - their loss!

Hi Joanne,

I too went in search last week. Try Shayna Beach Club, they told me their price is 7.50 per day for use of all facilities. The setting is very nice, lovely little beach, not too overcrowded. I also checked out the restaurant that has a lovely setting. They have live music on Wednesday nights so we might try that out, food looked good. Not sure about snack menu though. Beers about same as most hotels 6 for large efes but Turkish Coffee 4tl!

I also went to the Cordero next door which belongs to the Malpas. They charge 10tl though I didn't ask if that entitled you to go up to the Malpas to use the pool. That is also a nice setting if you want somewhere to collapse on a sunbed. Menu looked very inviting and not overpriced, nice seating area upstairs around the restaurant and bar area. Staff were very nice there too.

I'm not sure if the Paradise Bar and Restaurant charge to use their pool but that's a nice place and food is quite good too. Staff also pleasant there.

Although it is West, Deniz Kizi Hotel has a lovely beach and huge pool. 6TL for use of beach only or 10TL for beach and pool. Lovely restaurant too with reasonable prices.

Thanks for all your replies!

Does no one know about the cost for Oscars hotel then? They have a kids pool, wave pool and olypic pool, also have their own beach as well, would really ike to know the cost for using their facilities.

Hi Joanne

I recently went to Oscars to ask and it is 20tl per adult and 10tl per child, which gives use of all facilitys. Also at the time if you wanted to stay overnight it was 55gbp per room per night including breakfast ( I guess this price may be subject to change according to availability) which depending on how many in your family may work out better value as then you have two days use of facs, as well as the 'fun train' that takes you into town.

Makes a reasonable priced break and change of scenery if that is what you are looking for.

Kind regards

Jo
