I f your going into Girne on a bike make sure you have a helmet it seems the police are having a bit of a purge on I had 3 customers last week who had been pulled the fine seems to vary but I think it's around 300tl but all three got let off with a caution mind you they had to leave their bikes until they could show they had a helmet which to be honest i was more than happy to supply well done girne police I can now afford to pay my speeding fines

Maybe it's because all bikers brains are found elsewhere from thier head Only joking before I get attacked, the only reason I am not back on two wheels is because the boss says I can't have one. I think in her defence in my case the problem is that when I do put on a helmet the blood stops reaching my brain as I keep doing stupid things and falling off. Good info though scootex, thanks. If I do manage to covince her then I will have to dig out the old MX crashtop at least until I can afford a new one.

I thought most of the locals didn,t have Helmets. Thought they had them nicked! Isn,t that why they don,t get pulled over? 10 points for the first person to work that one out.

I can't understand people riding bikes or scooters without wearing a helmet if only to stop dirt and muck in the eyes and eating flies.....I could go on. Oh - and when you fall off helmets stop cracking the head open!

When I went to college in 1965-7 you didn't need a helmet to ride a motorbike. It wasn't law at that time. I can honestly say that I can remember when biking was dangerous and sex was safe.

Yes anything over 50cc apparently but I wear one all the time even when just testing scooters up the road 50cc or 1500cc you should always wear a good quality helmet and look out for the idiot coming out of the side road

Zooming along on my Moto Guzzi 850, one sunny arvo, a huge bumblebee splatted into my visor - what a whacko it made - nearly bowled me backwards off me bike! Later, stopping for a coupla three tinnies of the 'amber nectar', I got to thinking: 'I wonder what was the last thing to go through that bumblebee's brain?' Being a fairly bright sort of a cove, I reckon I twigged spot on: 'Must've been its arseh0le!'
