I don't know if this has been discussed before as I am new to the forum. So I'm sorry if this is a repeat. We have an ongoing problem with air in the water pipe coming from the belediye. We don't seem to get much water just air.We read our meter daily and over 5 days about 10 tonnes of air came through and little if any water. Is there any way to stop the air and just get the water? We did try to ask at the water place but they said they couldn't do anything. We were charged for 25 tonnes of water last month and there is no way 2 people use that much in a month. We save all the water from air cons, washing up etc.to water our pots and a tiny patch of garden We don't have a pool. Has any one any suggestions please. Also is there any way to find out which days the water is actually turned on by the belediye. Thanks

We hardly get any water at all, so I weighted down the bullcock. The air still comes through and registers on the meter but when they turn of water in the pipes the air gets sucked back through and the meter goes backwards, this way we only get metered for the water!!!

Only real way to stop the air is to have a large air chamber (bit like the air receiver on a compressor) before your meter, with an air release valve on the top, like the one that you should have on your hot water tank on your roof.

As the air or water enters the chamber, the air obviously rises instantly on top of the water, and is released by the air release valve, which will automatically shut off if it fills fully with water, the water carries on through the chamber, and onto the pipe to the meter, result, air free water to your tanks.

Not seen any, not even sure if available, not difficult to build one, but not sure if you would be able to fit it in the line before the meter.

Might be worth speaking to Cyprus Solutions, they deal with many things like this.

You can fit a air bleed valve just before your meter, not expensive, I know they are available at Genc.
