Please don't bother with Dream Castle, it is overpriced and the food and service is appalling.

In Ozankoy village there is a nice place called Liaison which is on a corner with a nice terrace area. Simple food but very very nice if you don't want to go too far to eat.

On the main strecth between Ozankoy and Catalkoy, on the right there is a fish retaurant called the Lemon Tree.

The food, the service and the setting is a pleasure, the only thing going against it is the fact its on a main road, but that is soon forgotten when you taste to fish!...I recommend the Sword fish and the Prawn curry....both yummy!

If you have a car, then Ambience is a must but that is about 15 minutes drive west and Efendi in the Turkish quarter is amazing too.

Have a great time in NC, its a beautiful place!

If you are renting a villa, im sure there will be lots of suggestions supplied for you, but always ask the locals, they seem to know best!

In Ozankoy you should try the Five Fingers Restaurant.....simple stuff but very tasty.

A nice outdoor bar and garden area has been added for relaxed al fresco drinking and dining.

Alex is a great host, and the place has a friendly family atmosphere.

Just on the outskirts of Ozankoy is the Tropicana, which is now run by AJ ( recently at Liasons ) and his brother Khan.

Good food, great hosts, friendly service, and a nice setting with adjacent swimming pool.

In my opinion you will not find better than Erols. Best to book before hand to avoid dissapointment.

Erols is very good, but our favourite in Ozankoy, and we live here so have tried them all, has to be Hasan's Rose Garden which is opposite Rumours. it is family run, beautiful garden, and the food is always excellent. Hospitality second to none, and traditional cypriot. Hasan loves to come and sit at your table after your meal and has some interesting tales to tell - you will not be disappointed I am sure.

Lived in Ozankoy for 27 years, you can't beat the hospitality and ambiance of Hassan's Rose Garden. The food is excellent, local cuisine and very reasonably priced. Also low unobtrusive background music for those who enjoy conversation!

I have eaten at the Dream Castle on a number of occasions and have always been impressed by the quality of the food and service. I think that Lulu might have visited on an 'off night'.

The Dream Castle is great and has the best interior in Girne.

One of the best resturants in Ozankoy has to be Patina.

Rose Garden for your meze, Erols for roast meats , Five Fingers for ambiance and good food as is Rumours.

Barryboy - In Ozankoy the best ones are Erols, Rafters and Patina. However given that you are on holiday, you are only 5 mins drive up the back road to Bellapais - here is more selection. The best ones are Abbey Bell Tower, Kybele, Bellapais Gardens and others to choose from. A little more expensive, but still cheap compared to UK and other parts of the med (Spain, Italy, Southern Cyprus etc). The views and ambience from all of the Bellapais restaurants is stunning. Kyrenia harbour is full of restaurants by the water - but try Set Fish - superb ! There are also plenty of taverna type venues around as well - try Valley View on the coast road (if heading home from the main beaches of Alagadi, Acapulco, Lara etc) - the terrace is at the back and overlooks the sea - very reasonable prices and the food just keeps coming and coming (meze). I am sure you will really enjoy yourself here - we were frequent visitors to Paphos until we tried it up here - immediately hooked !! Hope you enjoy it !

Hi Amanda re message 25.

We are next out for a few weeks at the end of August and will certainly have dinner with you on a music evening.

Congratulations on the refurb and when considered with the beautiful sea scape it will make for a perfect summer setting. (in the Ambiance and Mountain View class)

One thought (although you may have already done something positive)

When we were in for a lunch time drink a few weeks back, we had a look at your menu.

Quite simply it was a "second division menu" and did nothing to enhance the image or improve the potential of success for your restaurant.

regards

Doug
