| This may be of help for those who are not sure about car insurance at payla crossing, today I went through hoping that there was insurance available ,I enquired at the UK check point but they were unsure and did not know where I should go, to cut a long story short as you check throught TRNC there is a cafe on the right just before is a house with first level office, this was closed which was very frustrating , however I studied the notice on the locked door which had a contact tel number I rang the number which was answerd straight away I explained that I needed to renew my insurance, please wait was the reply, 10mins went by nothing I was begining to get a little agitated by now, as i was just about to despair and give up, a gentleman pulled up on a moped, he greeted me in a very freindly manor,unlocked the door then proceeded with one finger to renew my insurance during which time he was very cheerful, which also made me feel better. |

| I think you mean the Pergamos (GR) / Beyarmudu (TR) crossing point [ this is the name of the village ] on the SBA near to Pyla/ Pile ? ;)

| Hi....I got there at 1am, the Turkish "officials" made a call, ten minutes later he was there on his Moped...he lives very close by and will come out at all times.

| I think everyone will be amazed that you managed to get the poor guy out of bed at that hour of the morning, you were taking a bit of a chance if you don't mind me saying so,the insurance offices at the main Metehan crossing close at 11pm which I think is very reasonable.
