Hi Julie,

We bought off Ali Safa, please tell us what this is about. No we don't have our deeds, very few buyers from Medview do.

When we bought our property it was already finished as was the complex or so we thought. Medview appear to buy land and then build on so much of it. They sell these properties and then another 3 years down the line they start building again and tell the exisiting owners the site isn't finished, so it can't be parcellised. They have just finshed building on another section of the land they own. They still own more land at the back of our complex and I expect we will have to wait until the present recession picks up and they build on this. How long is this going to take? As many of the owners on our site are already in their late sixties, I despair we will ever get them in our life time? This is where the government should be stepping in and doing something about developers who do this. In my opinion the land should already be parcellised before building starts, this way title deeds could be issued as soon as ptp has been granted.

we have never had a problem with medview from start to finish with our property, each time we have met Ali Saffa he has always been polite and our buying experiance in northern cyprus has been quite uneventfull. no i am not related to him or his company.

Julie,

Where are you getting this information from, as I cannot believe that this is true? Barbara msg8 wish we could say the same, Medview mortgaged our site after we paid for our properties. They have now paid this off as promised but we are no further forward with getting our deeds. I wish we could say we have had no problems with them but unfortunately we have a long list of complaints and problems.

Bradus,

If you read message 6 I think you will find the answer is no. I don't know of any Medview site that has got title deeds to their properties. As nanybabs says it is always soon very soon, when anyone asks, they have been saying this for years.

title deeds, are they really worth anything, you can still sell your property without them, as for Ali Saffa doing a (runner) dont know anything about that, we bumped into him in may at sbc (not our home) he seemed very chatty and very relaxed. but who knows...

Yes if you want to prevent people taking out memorandums on your property and you want to legally own it.

At the moment the person that owns your property is the builder. You say everything went smooth but it obviously didn't otherwise you would have your deeds by now. Perhaps you should ask why, when you have paid in full, they are not in your possession? Chase them up, otherwise you leave yourself in a very vulnerable position.

I am a bit concerned about what people regard as title deeds.

First of all the first deeds you should get are transfer of land ownership from builder to new joint owners of the land that any building is eventually built on. Once that has happened then you are pretty much safe. When you decide to buy off plan then you need to have a copy of the title deeds that the builder should give you as a matter of course proving that they have officially bought the land and they have the right to transfer ownership of the land to the new owners of the land whether that be apartment blocks/2 villas (as in our case) or a major development. Only after that can you (or your builder) apply for parcelisation whereby the land is then split up and assigned to all of the owners that have duly paid their taxes. The parcelisation process can take a long time because when the Land Registry office come out to measure up the plot sizes and they find any discrepancies between the original drawings supplied

Continued:

Then the original drawings will have to be redrawn and resubmitted for approval. And believe me that happens a lot.

msg 14

are title deeds worth anything

I totally agree with Bradus whilst the kocan is in the builders name you are at his mercy and may end up in a position you have your own house sold off to pay the memorandums. As for selling without them maybe you can but not if theres memorandums on the property who would buy!

Ive started legal proceedings to get mine as I wont wait any longer not after Ive found out what actually goes on.

We are in the difficult position of our developer not owning the land our property is built on. The builder of the properties actually owns the land and they have fallen out. What chance, seeing as it is a Medview home of ever getting our title deeds and what legal action can we take? honestie perhaps you can tell us.

Most of the victims are over 60 years old. It,s dreadful what has happened. Thank god for a few decent organisations in the UK, who are aware of the suffering.

Jwheeler&sons

What is Hasan Sungur's involvment in this. I am a pensioner and he is involved with my house and I have now waited 4 years for my house but it is not a Medview house.
