Hi all 1st post, I am currently working in the Czech Republic, teaching English at a university there. I used to live in Cyprus in the early 70īs (father was in the Army) been back twice recently. What I would like to know is, what are the job opportunities for teachers of English there? (either private or state) I would also like to know about property prices for rent. Thanks for any advice.

Hi Garyxn,

I have to say, it probably depends what sort of English teaching you do... If it is TEFL style - there are a lot of people able to offer similar skills - although, there are a couple of new schools/language colleges opened recently which may be worth getting in touch with... If you can teach English GCSE/IGCSE/ A-level, that may also open up other opportunities. You would be best to get in touch with individual institutions and see exactly what they are looking for.

Good luck.

Spanna.
