Look at the countries that don't recognise Kosovo

Included are Greece, Russia, Cyprus.

Does that tell you something?

paul, glad you picked up that report, it's also on the bbc news page

...of course it is significant for north cyprus, sesession being quite legal,

but the other side will point out that internationaly the trnc is technically occupied

though they can hardly use the violence and force argument any more

since although their pretend view of cyprus history is that it began in july 1974,

natio bombed the stuffing out of serbia in order to "free" kosovo not long ago,

perhaps killing more in the process than either the turkish landings or eoka "b" ever did

and russia recently set up two statelets on their southern border,

abkhasia only recently, the birth product of a heavy russian combat operation

the russians evened up the score with a documentary on "russia today" (youtube)

called "unrecognised states" one section of which dealt with north cyprus, as it happens

which was balanced but featured a lot of distressed gc's

...suggesting by inference "those" gc's wont be back

Re No8 from newlad: What do you mean TRNC does not exist, we are all here in it.???

Serbia tried to reckon Kosovo doesn't exist.

What a crazy world we live/retire in!

Geoff

I did e mail the former UK prime minister, Gordon someone or other, that question a couple of years back.

I got the standard piece about the United Nations ruling about the illegal Turkish occupation and breach of human rights!!!!!!!!

The bottom line was that the situation was not the same in the minds of UK politicians!!
