Hi Julia,

Our friends took their dogs to Turkey via the ferry last Christmas. They had to be caged, so unless things have changed since then thats how it is.

We took ours out of the car and walked them onto the other ferry as our car was on one ferry and we were on another there are often 3 or 4 ships that leave at the same time, no one tells you what to do or where to go so we just walked purposefully off one ship and onto the one that carried passengers. A.s Im sure you will have heard the ships are pretty old and its certainly an experience. Just take poo bags just in case!

Hi we came on the ferry from Turkey with our dog, we were on the same ferry as our car, we bought our tickets in Tasacu itself, we asked to be on the same ferry as the car because we have a dog, they said it was fine, when we got on they said the dog had to stay in the car or be tied up at the side on the bottom deck, it was not allowed upstairs at all, it was fine as it was night time, I just stayed in the car and when everyone went upstairs I let her out but stayed downstairs, yes it is an experience not as bad as I had been told, but the toilets are disgusting!!!!

Hi, sorry for late reply.

I brought my dog to north cyprus via france, italy anconna ferry, through turkey and across on

ferry by car. the dog did not leave our side once, infact she even slept in the cabin with us

from italy to turkey. She is a very well behaved springer and travels really well.

If I had not of fronted up at the ferry port in girne i could of just gone right home.

this was the first time out of the whole journey that the paperwork was checked and

after just 20 mins and a small fee i took her strait home. so after all the panic it was really

staight forward and the vet was great. if you need any other info just email ho and no cage

was needed or asked for at any time.

Hi

could you give me some more information about your trip. I'm thinking of bringing my dog overland - he's to old to fly I think.

Thanks
