I am just in the process of packing and getting rid of old bed linen etc to replace with new. My question is whether I am better to buy new here in the UK or in Cyprus but am unsure of the quality or prices. I am guessing that as it is quite near to Egypt then Eygyptian cotton goods would be cheaper in Cyprus? I have also noticed lots of imports "made in Turkey".

I found it cheaper to buy at M & S in the UK, having 'made in Turkey' labels on, than it was to buy here but that is going back a few years.

judyr, If you want nice bedding and not garish colours buy in the UK. I did find egyptian cotton but they cost an arm and a leg. Ended up buying good quality cotton sheeting and having them made. The butlers wife

Just be careful if your beds are from N Cyprus - UK bedding will not fit as the sizes are different! Maggie

| Sorry i should add that i got double bedding for the singles, and king size for the double..I also get flat white sheets and pillow cases as in the winter when you put your quilts on the bed you dont always need to change cover and matching pillow case so often it you have a flat sheet under the quilt..the quality ones are for display only if you understand..
